Everything could happen in Oruro at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Carl A-Z and 5th ranked Calero had identical 7-7 record. This time Carl A-Z used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Potosi 85-74 on Saturday night. Strangely Calero outrebounded Carl A-Z 41-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Argentinian point guard Roberto Orresta (177-1991) fired 36 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winners. Argentinian center Diego Romero (206-1982, college: FSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists. Argentinian power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and the former international point guard Celmar Alanes (180-1997) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Calero players scored in double figures. Carl A-Z (8-7) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Univ.Sucre. Loser Calero dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost.
