Regular Season Round 11: Libertadoras - Adelitas 62-73

An interesting game for Adelitas (15-3) which played road game in Queretaro against 4th placed Libertadores (12-6). First ranked Adelitas managed to get a 11-point victory 73-62. American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Her fellow American import forward Crystal Bradford (183-1993, college: CMU) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Lyndra Weaver (185-1987, college: Virginia) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and Italian forward Marzia Tagliamento (183-1996) added 18 points in the effort for Libertadores. Five Adelitas and four Libertadores players scored in double figures. Libertadores' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Adelitas have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-3 record. Libertadores lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Adelitas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Libertadores will play again at home against the league's leader Adelitas (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
