An interesting game for Truenos (6-5) which hosted in Talca 4th placed Municipal C. (5-6). Third ranked Truenos managed to get a 13-point victory 79-66. Truenos had a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Nick Morales (187-1985) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and forward Alessandro Morales (-1998) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. Four Truenos players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Marko Castro (192-1988) responded with 21 points and forward Jordan Flores (-2002) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Truenos. They maintain third place with 6-5 record having five points less than leader Liceo PN, which they share with Arabe de Valp. Municipal C. at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Stadio Italiano and Luis Matte. Truenos will play against Tomas L. (#6) in San Fernando in the next round. Municipal C. will play at home against the league's second-placed Colo Colo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
