Very expected game when 6th ranked Tomas L. (2-8) was smashed by leader Liceo PN (12-0) in Temuco 79-53 on Saturday. Liceo PN dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tomas L.'s 36. Liceo PN forced 22 Tomas L. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international point guard Franco Morales (181-1992) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 17 assists for the winning side and forward Carlos Iglesias (-1998) accounted for 9 points and 8 rebounds. Liceo PN's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Felipe Serey (-2005) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ivan Bravo (-2000) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Tomas L. in the defeat. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Liceo PN. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Loser Tomas L. dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Liceo Curico. Liceo PN will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tomas L. will play against Truenos (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
