Regular Season Round 17: Osorno - Univ. Austral 51-57

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Osorno (5-6) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Univ. Austral (5-5) 57-51 on Sunday. Nicoll Ojeda (-1993) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Paula Ortiz (-2003) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Univ. Austral's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian Jacqueline Soto responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Javiera Rosas (-2001) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Univ. Austral moved-up to fourth place, which they share with New Crusaders and Temuco. Loser Osorno dropped to the fifth position with six games lost.
