The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Urunday (#1) and Capitol (#5). Urunday (10-2) crushed visiting Capitol (6-5) by 21 points 97-76. Urunday looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Rodrigo Brause (194-1995) who scored 24 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Urunday players scored in double figures. Urunday's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Karachi Edo (196-1994, college: Fresno St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Mateo Giano (186-2000) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. Urunday maintains first place with 10-2 record. Capitol at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Urunday will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Capitol's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Lagomar.
