Second Stage Round 3: Aguada - Malvin 56-83

An interesting game for Malvin (4-0) which played road game in Aguada against Aguada (2-2). Malvin had an easy win 83-56. Malvin dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Aguada's 16. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Guard Carolina Fernandez (186-2003) accounted for 17 points and 12 assists for the winning side. Five Malvin players scored in double figures. Malvin's coach Juan Serdio felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Argentinian Jacqueline Soto came up with 14 points and point guard Josefina Zeballos (173-2003) added 14 points respectively for Aguada in the defeat. Malvin's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Hebraica.
