The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: 25 de Agosto (#6) and Hebraica (#5). Hebraica was defeated at home 63-70 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. 25 de Agosto forced 19 Hebraica turnovers. It was a good game for swingman Catalina Pereira (176-2004) who led her team to a victory with 26 points and 5 steals. Argentinian guard Candela Foresto (163-1999) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Four 25 de Agosto players scored in double figures. 25 de Agosto's coach Juan Loureiro used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian Abril Ramirez (167-2000) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Romina Dalesandro (157-2003) added 8 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Hebraica. 25 de Agosto's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Yale.
