The most exciting game of round 17 in the Metropolitan took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Larranaga (9-5) to second ranked Olimpia (10-4) 75-72 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Larranaga. Guard Santiago Fernandez (186-2000) stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 assists for the winners and guard Joaquin Nunez (189-2002) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Italian Nicolas Borsellino (202-1986, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and American forward DJ Foreman (203-1994, college: St.Louis) scored 14 points. Four Larranaga players scored in double figures. Olimpia maintains second place with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader Urunday. Larranaga at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Tabare.
