There was no surprise in Montevideo where 16th ranked Miramar (2-12) was defeated by eighth ranked Welcome (8-6) 75-63 on Friday. Welcome forced 21 Miramar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Santiago Wohlwend (172-1997) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Fernando Verrone (201-1988) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Welcome's coach Diego Rivas let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Matias De Gouveia (180-1988) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and Argentinian power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-1994) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Welcome have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Atenas and Sayago.
