Regular Season Round 4: Osasco - Corinthians 69-98
Date: August 19, 2023
Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Corinthians (3-3) rolled over on the road 9th ranked Osasco (1-5) 98-69 on Saturday. Corinthians made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Corinthians had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by the former international center Rafael Hettsheimeir (210-1986) who scored that evening 18 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Elinho Corazza (191-1989, college: Miami Dade CC) supported him with 16 points and 7 assists. Even 11 points, 8 assists and 5 steals by guard Rodrigo Italo (193-1994) did not help to save the game for Osasco. Forward Tom Oliveira (204-1993) added 9 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Five Corinthians and four Osasco players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corinthians moved-up to third place. Loser Osasco keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Corinthians will meet at home bottom-ranked Araraquara (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osasco will have a break next round.
