No shocking result in a game in Monterrey where Fuerza Regia smashed Panteras 94-75 on Saturday. Fuerza Regia looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Shonn Miller (201-1993, college: UConn) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and J.J. Avila (203-1991, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. At the losing side Brian Conklin (201-1989, college: St.Louis) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Gary Ricks (185-1991, college: Drake) scored 20 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fuerza Regia will meet Astros in the next round. Panteras will play against Dorados and hope to win that game.
