Not a big story in a game in Montevideo where O.Mundial was defeated by Colon 87-71 on Monday. The best player for the winners was American guard Jamal Bieniemy (196-1999, college: UTEP) who scored 27 points and 4 assists. Point guard Andres Aristimuno (184-1992) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Colon players scored in double figures. Panamanian-American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and Brazilian center Pedro Ianguas (210-1998) added 9 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Colon will meet at home Miramar in the next round and are hoping to win another game. O.Mundial's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.
