Regular Season Round 2: Mineros - Astros 81-87

Everything went according to plan when Astros defeated Mineros in Zacatecas 87-81 on Tuesday. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Jeff Ledbetter (191-1988, college: Idaho, agency: Slash Sports) notched 29 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized American guard Karim Rodriguez (196-1988) supported him with 9 points and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds by American forward Chris Perry (203-1994, college: LMU) did not help to save the game for Mineros. His fellow American import guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) added 16 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Astros will meet Dorados in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mineros will play against Soles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
