Regular Season Round 2: Tipitapa - Leonas 70-61

The most important game in the last round took place in between Leonas and Tipitapa on Sunday night. Leonas were defeated by Tipitapa in a tough game on the road 61-70. 25 personal fouls committed by Leonas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Shannen Peralta (-2003) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Clenia Salazar (-1987) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Jessica Marino (-2000) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Jocelyn Taylor (183-1997, college: SEMO) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Leonas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
