Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: San Jose (#2) and Campo Alto (#6). San Jose (4-1) crushed visiting Campo Alto (0-4) by 34 points 100-66. San Jose dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Campo Alto's 30. San Jose forced 21 Campo Alto turnovers and outrebounded them 46-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Vincenzo Ochipinti (191-1999) who scored 22 points and 4 steals. Alen Juarez chipped in 17 points. San Jose's coach Daniel Cano felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Oscar Laconich (184-1986) produced 27 points and 6 rebounds and Darwinn Rivera added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Defending champion used an opportunity after Olimpia K. lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Campo Alto still closes the standings with four games lost. San Jose's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Asuncion to the arena Felix Perez.
