Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Miramar (3-16) lost to twelfth ranked 25 de Agosto (9-10) in Montevideo 80-91 on Monday. The winners were led by American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import Desmond Holloway (194-1990, college: Coastal, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points and 21 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by Argentinian power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-1994) did not help to save the game for Miramar. Guard Damian Blazina (186-1988) added 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Miramar's coach Andres Blazina rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. 25 de Agosto have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain twelfth position with 9-10 record. Loser Miramar stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. 25 de Agosto's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Stockolmo.
