The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Olimpia K. (4-1) in Asuncion on Monday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Colonias (2-2) 73-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Olimpia K.. Argentinian Lucas Landi stepped up and scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Dominican Nehemias Morillo (197-1992, college: S.Florida) chipped in 24 points. Four Colonias players scored in double figures. The former international forward Gabriel Peralta (203-1995) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Olimpia K.'s coach Carlos Romano tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Colonias moved-up to third place. Olimpia K. at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with San Jose. Colonias' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Asuncion to the arena Campo Alto.
