The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Asuncion: Olimpia (#2) and Sol de Amer. (#4). Olimpia (5-4) won against visiting Sol de Amer. (5-4) 67-54. Olimpia looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-1986) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Paloma Niz (175-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Olimpia's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Gabriela Bernal (-2007) who recorded 7 points and 21 rebounds and Ana Doldan added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Olimpia maintains second position with 5-4 record having just three points less than leader Felix Perez, which they share with defeated Sol de Amer. Olimpia's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Felix Perez.
