Not a big story in a game in Montevideo where 14th ranked O.Mundial (6-14) was rolled over by tenth ranked U.Atletica (11-9) 100-73 on Wednesday. U.Atletica shot 60.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. U.Atletica looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Miles Bowman Jr (198-1993, college: High Point) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Felipe Garcia (173-1999) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four U.Atletica players scored in double figures. Guard Thomas Araujo (192-2004) produced 24 points and 4 steals and Brazilian center Pedro Ianguas (210-1998) added 8 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. U.Atletica have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. O.Mundial lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Verdirrojo and Lagomar. U.Atletica will meet Colon (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
