The biggest surprise took place in Asuncion where host Libertad A. (3-3) beat league's leader Olimpia K. (4-2) 91-85 on Wednesday evening. Libertad A. shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Adolfo Lopez (199-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. International point guard Jorge Martinez (178-1998) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Guillermo Araujo (204-1982, agency: Pro Sports) who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Jorge Sequera (194-1988) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Libertad A. moved-up to fourth place. Olimpia K. at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by San Jose. Olimpia K. will play next round against Felix Perez trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion - Felix Perez. Libertad A. will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Campo Alto. It will be extra interesting game as Campo Alto is their local rival from Asuncion.
