Mineros used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Mexicali 82-73 on Friday night. Mineros shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-1988, college: ODU) who scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Reyshawn Terry (203-1984, college: UNC) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Mineros' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Panamanian-Chilean point guard Eugenio Luzcando (190-1995, college: Idaho St.) who recorded 18 points and 6 assists and the former international guard Luke Martinez (190-1990, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively.
