No shocking result in a game in Jinotega where fifth ranked Brumas (6-3) smashed 7th ranked Jaguares (3-5) 97-68 on Saturday. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Jaguares' 38. They outrebounded Jaguares 43-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American power forward Amir Warnock (206-1995, college: KWC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) helped adding 25 points and 4 assists. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. Guard Kaleb Myers (-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American Joel Kindred (193-1991, college: St.Augustine) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Brumas. They maintain fifth place with 6-3 record. Jaguares lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Brumas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jaguares will play against Real Esteli (#4) and hope to secure a win.
