Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Asuncion: Colonias (#3) and Campo Alto (#6). Colonias (5-3) crushed visiting Campo Alto (1-8) by 17 points 98-81. Colonias made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Campo Alto only scored seven points from the stripe. Colonias players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a great evening for Dominican Nehemias Morillo (197-1992, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Argentinian Nelson Peralta (195-1992) helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Colonias players scored in double figures. Colonias' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Argentinian point guard Mauro Gauna (186-1999) responded with 24 points and 9 assists and swingman Oscar Laconich (184-1986) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Colonias maintains third place with 5-3 record having just three points less than leader Olimpia K. Campo Alto lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Colonias' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Asuncion Felix Perez.
