Regular Season Round 4: Libertadores - Abejas 79-83

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Libertadores (6-4) in Queretaro on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by Abejas (6-4) 83-79. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tyreek Duren (183-1991, college: La Salle) who added 14 points during the contest. Five Abejas players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Skylar Spencer (206-1994, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 6 points and 11 rebounds and guard Joe Quintana (188, college: CBU) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Abejas keep a position of league leader, which they share with Libertadores and Santos. Abejas is looking forward to face league's second-placed Santos in San Luis Potosi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Libertadores will play on the road against Halcones UV Xalapa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
