An interesting game for Tipitapa (4-4) which hosted in 4th placed UNI (2-6). Third ranked Tipitapa had an easy win 70-41. Tipitapa held UNI to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Tipitapa forced 30 UNI turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international forward Shannen Peralta (-2003) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Shaneel Antonio (-2005) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. Tipitapa's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Nahomy Castillo (165-2007) responded with 11 points and Jamaican swingman Antoinette Bannister (178-1993, college: ECU) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Tipitapa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 4-4 record having just two points less than leader Jaguares. UNI lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with Leonas.
