Second Stage Round 8: Capitol - Sayago 79-81

The most shocking disappointment of round 8 was only two-point a home defeat of 5th ranked Capitol (11-11) to sixth ranked Sayago (12-10) 81-79. Strangely Capitol outrebounded Sayago 32-0 including a 23- advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American Rakim Brown (198-1991, college: Humboldt St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Tomas de Leon (195-1999) who added 23 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American guard Ladavius Draine (193, college: Tulsa) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Pablo Gomez (203-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sayago moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Larranaga. Capitol lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost.
