Not a big story in a game in Ciudad Victoria where 7th ranked Correcaminos (1-11) were defeated by first ranked Fuerza Regia (11-1) 95-79 on Sunday. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 36. They outrebounded Correcaminos 40-25 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Shonn Miller (201-1993, college: UConn) who scored 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Paul Stoll (180-1985) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fuerza Regia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Correcaminos lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Freseras. Fuerza Regia will meet at home league's second-placed Libertadores in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Correcaminos will play against Dorados (#4) in Chihuahua and hope to win that game.
