The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Tipitapa (7-4) played at the court of 5th ranked UNI (2-8). Tipitapa smashed UNI 52-29. Tipitapa held UNI to an opponent 15.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 21.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Tipitapa forced 29 UNI turnovers. Canadian guard Tiffany Reynolds (175, college: Lakehead) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Clenia Salazar (-1987) chipped in 7 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Tipitapa's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Nahomy Castillo (165-2007) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Sharen Sambola (185-2006) scored 3 points and 12 rebounds. Tipitapa have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. UNI lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost.
