No shocking result in a game in Guadalajara where second ranked Astros (11-3) defeated 5th ranked Halcones Rojos (6-8) 91-76 on Saturday. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Jeff Ledbetter (191-1988, college: Idaho, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward Jordan Loveridge (198-1993, college: Utah) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Astros players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Alejandro Villanueva (199-1993) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Astros. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-3 record behind leader Panteras. Halcones Rojos lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Mineros and Plateros. Astros will meet Soles (#6) in the next round. Halcones Rojos will have a break next round.
