Regular Season Round 6: Condores - Piratas 67-96
Date: October 4, 2023
Bottom-ranked Condores (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-67 loss to fifth ranked Piratas (5-2) in Cundinamarca. Piratas outrebounded Condores 46-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American guard Tristan Jarrett (193-1998, college: Jackson St.) who led his team to a victory with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. Venezuelan power forward Adrian Espinoza (210-1997) replied with 9 points and 12 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican forward Jordan Glover (198-1996, college: TCNJ) added 17 points in the effort for Condores. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Piratas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Team Cali. Condores at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Piratas will play against Corsarios (#9) in Cartagena in the next round where they are favorite. Condores will play on the road against Bucaros in Bucaramanga and hope to get finally their first victory.
