Obera crushed at home Penarol by 34 points 105-71, which is the biggest margin this round on Monday night. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Penarol's 42. They outrebounded Penarol 49-32 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Obera looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Penarol's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Agustin Barreiro (205-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Juan Laterza (180-1997) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists. Point guard Joaquin Valinotti (185-1998) produced 14 points and 5 assists and forward Octavio Sarmiento (198-2001) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
