Very predictable result when second ranked Panteras (11-7) won against 7th ranked Correcaminos (1-17) in Aguascalientes 86-76 on Monday. Panteras outrebounded Correcaminos 57-39 including a 42-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Brian Conklin (201-1989, college: St.Louis) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and American-Puerto Rican forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. Panteras' coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. American guard Jeff Early Jr (190-1988, college: SIU) came up with 23 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Gabriel Belardo (188-1989, college: FIU) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Correcaminos in the defeat. Panteras maintains second place with 11-7 record having just three points less than leader Libertadores, which they share with Halc.Xalapa. Correcaminos lost their fourteenth game in a row.
