Regular Season Round 9: Dorados - Abejas 90-76

Fifth defeat of league's leader Abejas (13-5) against fifth ranked Dorados (9-9) 90-76 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Abejas. It was a good game for Dominican-American forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-1992, college: Sacramento St.) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Dorados players scored in double figures. American forward Wayne Langston (200-1993, college: Murray St.) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Venezuelan point guard David Cubillan (181-1987, college: Marquette) added 15 points in the effort for Abejas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dorados moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Plateros. Abejas at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Libertadores. Abejas will play next round against Freseras trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dorados will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Halcones UV Xalapa on the road.
