Rather predictable result in Jinotega where third ranked Brumas (13-4) beat 7th ranked Indigenas (5-12) 77-66. They outrebounded Indigenas 40-25 including a 35-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Canadian swingman Zekiah Owens (197-1998, college: AIC) answered with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Tylan Dean (185-1999, college: Rogers St.) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Indigenas. Four Indigenas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Brumas. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Real Esteli. Indigenas at the other side keep the seventh position with 12 games lost.
