Regular Season Round 11: Dorados - Mineros 86-90

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Chihuahua where 5th ranked Dorados (12-12) were defeated by sixth ranked Mineros (11-13) 90-86 on Monday. It was a great evening for American guard Walter Lemon Jr (191-1992, college: Bradley) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists. His fellow American import guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) helped adding 18 points. Mineros' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Dominican-American forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-1994, college: Augusta) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mineros moved-up to fifth place which they share with defeated Dorados. Loser Dorados keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Mineros will meet at home Freseras (#7) in the next round. Dorados will play against the league's second-placed Fuerza Regia in Monterrey and hope to secure a win.
