Everything could happen in Chihuahua at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Dorados and 6th ranked Mineros had identical 11-12 record. This time Dorados used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Zacatecas 88-76 on Tuesday night. It was a great evening for American guard Cleveland Thomas (192-1993, college: WKU, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists. American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-1992, college: Sacramento St.) helped adding 16 points. Four Dorados players scored in double figures. American forward Dion Wright (201-1993, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Walter Lemon Jr (191-1992, college: Bradley) scored 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dorados maintains fifth place with 12-12 record which they share with defeated Mineros. Loser Mineros dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Dorados will meet league's second-placed Fuerza Regia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mineros will play against Freseras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
