Regular Season Round 24: Caribbean Coast - Leones 85-82

The most exciting game of round 24 in the LSB took place in Managua. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Leones (14-7) to first ranked Caribbean Coast (17-4) 85-82 on Thursday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 assists and Puerto Rican power forward Owens Perez (206-1992) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Kaleb Hunter (193-1998, college: UNCG) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Colombian center Chyse Webster (204-2000) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Leones players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caribbean Coast have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-4 record, which they share with Brumas. Leones at the other side keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Caribbean Coast is looking forward to face Indigenas (#7) in Matagalpa in the next round where they are favorite. Leones' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Managua to the arena Jaguares.
