There was no surprise when 9th rankedTigres (3-19) were crushed on the road by fifth ranked Leon (15-7) 109-78 on Friday. Leon dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Tigres ' 48 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Leon forced 25 Tigres turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican Xavier de la Rosa (196-1991) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international guard Vansdell Thomas (185-1986) who added 23 points and 4 assists during the contest. Leon's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Dwight Real (-1997) responded with 23 points and 6 assists and Cuban Emmanuel Calderon (198-1998) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Leon maintains fifth position with 15-7 record. Loser Tigres keep the ninth place with 19 games lost.
