No shocking result in a game in Montevideo where second rankedAguada (5-2) defeated bottom-ranked Goes (1-6) 105-91 on Monday. Aguada looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 6 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) helped adding 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Aguada's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American center Kevin Allen (211-1994, college: Emporia St.) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import Elijah Minnie (203-1994, college: EMU) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Four Goes players scored in double figures. Aguada maintains second place with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Nacional. Goes lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost.
