There was no surprise when Pro-Esport was crushed on the road by Sao Jose 93-44 on Thursday. Sao Jose dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Pro-Esport S.'s 20. Sao Jose forced 23 Pro-Esport turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Pro-Esport's players. The former international swingman Patty Teixeira (175-1990) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international guard Alana Goncalo (166-1994) chipped in 10 points and 11 assists. At the losing side guard Sandra Costa (165-1990) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Lorena Silva (189-1998) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Sao Jose will meet Catanduva in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pro-Esport will have a break next round.
