The most surprising game was the first loss ofNacional (8-1) in Montevideo on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Bigua (5-4) 101-94 . It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Nacional. Bigua looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Nacional helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Leandro Garcia (188-1999) stepped up and scored 27 points and 4 assists for the winners and American forward Josh Cunningham (203-1996, college: Dayton) chipped in 24 points. The best for the losing side was Gaston Semiglia (186-1991) with 29 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Bigua and five Nacional players scored in double figures. Nacional's coach Alvaro Ponce rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bigua have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Malvin. Nacional at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost.
