Regular Season Round 11: Bigua - Aguada 81-94

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo:Aguada (#2) and Bigua (#4). Bigua was defeated at home 81-94 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Aguada players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Santiago Vidal (180-1989, agency: Pro Sports) supported him with 19 points and 9 assists. Aguada's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Josh Cunningham (203-1996, college: Dayton) did not help to save the game for Bigua . Forward Martin Rojas (194-1998) added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Four Aguada and five Bigua players scored in double figures. Aguada maintains second position with 8-3 record having just two point less than leader Nacional. Bigua at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Hebraica.
