Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo:Defensor (#4) and Bigua (#6). Defensor (10-6) won against visiting Bigua (7-9) 96-86 . Bigua was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Malik Curry (184-1999, college: WVU) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists for the winners and guard Facundo Terra (187-1998, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists. Five Defensor players scored in double figures. American guard Isaac Hamilton (196-1994, college: UCLA) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Leandro Garcia (188-1999) scored 26 points and 4 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The victory was the third consecutive win for Defensor . They maintain fourth place with 10-6 record. Bigua at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Malvin.
