Regular Season Round 24: La Union - GELP 104-80

There was a minor upset in Colon where 10th rankedGELP (8-10) was outplayed by twelfth ranked La Union (8-9) 104-80 on Saturday. La Union dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to GELP 's 40. La Union looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Facundo Gago (178-1996) who scored 21 points and 6 assists. Forward Aquiles Montani (190-1994) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Augusto Bruera (196-1998, agency: BIG) who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds and Isidro Amendolara (189-2002) added 22 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. La Union moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ameghino. GELP lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost.
