Regular Season Round 26: Jachal - Amancay 81-74

There was an upset when higher ranked Amancay (6-9) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Jachal (2-13) 81-74 on Tuesday. Swingman Pablo Crausaz (194-1997) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Bruno Caribaux (181-2003) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Jachal players scored in double figures. Guard Juan Cognigni (192-1990) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Emiliano Correa (188-1991) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Jachal maintains fifteenth position with 2-13 record. Amancay lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with nine games lost. Jachal will meet at home higher ranked GEPU (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Amancay will play against Rivadavia (#7) and hope to secure a win.
