Very important is a road loss of third rankedEspanol (7-2) against eighth ranked Puerto Varas (5-5) on Friday night. Visiting Espanol was defeated by Puerto Varas in a tough game in Puerto Varas 68-74 . Puerto Varas outrebounded Espanol 44-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Yahuza Rasas (201-1999, college: PVAMU) who added 12 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Four Puerto Varas players scored in double figures. American forward Darnell Cowart (203-1998, college: Murray St.) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Sebastian Suarez (193-1991, college: Portland St.) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Puerto Varas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Espanol at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost.
