Regular Season Round 25: Aguada - Bigua 107-85

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo:Aguada (#3) and Bigua (#6). Aguada (17-5) crushed visiting Bigua (10-12) by 22 points 107-85 . Aguada made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game, while Bigua only scored four points from the stripe. Aguada shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). His fellow American import Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Aguada players scored in double figures. Forward Martin Rojas (194-1998) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Isaac Hamilton (196-1994, college: UCLA) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bigua. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aguada have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Bigua at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Cordon.
