No shocking result in a game when leaderMieleras (8-0) crushed bottom-ranked Toritas (0-8) in Celaya 75-45 on Wednesday. Mieleras forced 19 Toritas turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for guard Mayra Gil (174-2003) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international swingman Daniela Soto (177-1995) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Cuban Melissa Oleaga (-1998) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Billy Aguirre added 7 points respectively for Toritas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mieleras have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Loser Toritas still closes the standings with eight games lost.
