An interesting game forMineras (9-2) which played road game in Celaya against 4th ranked Toritas (2-9). Second ranked Mineras managed to get a 8-point victory 79-71 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toritas. Mineras made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) scored 25 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Karla Martinez (175-2000, college: San Diego) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Mineras players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cuban Melissa Oleaga (-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Dana Soto (167-1997) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mineras have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Libelulas. Toritas at the other side keep the fourth place with nine games lost.
